OCTO PLUS

Addressable

The OCTO+ Fire Alarm Control Panel is built on the pedigree of the worldwide known JUNO NET. Now featuring a fully peer-to-peer, multi-master networking solution. This new “CHAMELEON Network” solution enables extreme resilience in very large distributed systems.

On a CHAMELEON Network system, each network NODE+ has, in its internal configuration memory, the whole system information, i.e. in the unlikely event of a communication loss, there is no performance degradation of individual NODE+.

CHAMELEON REP

Addressable

The CHAMELEON REP is the best solution when you need full control of a networked system.

In a Chameleon Network, the CHAMELEON REPEATER is used as a “System Repeater”. It works as an addressed
networked panel (without loops) and has the ability to process and register (Event-log) all “system info”. For connection diagrams and project commissioning, please refer to the Chameleon Network manual as well as the manual of the Communication Interface being used.

The CHAMELEON REP is supplied without battery management capability. It is intended to be connected to an external power supply. The Cause and Effect programming of the whole system as well as all customer specific configuration can be downloaded or uploaded using the CHAMELEON CONNECTOR software and later broadcast to other networked panels (OCTO+, NODE+ and GEKKO).

CHAMELEON DISPLAY

Addressable

CHAMELEON DISPLAY should not be considered a fully featured SYSTEM repeater for Chameleon Networks.

The CHAMELEON DISPLAY, behaves as an extra display of the Master Panel display.

Non networked panels may need an remotely accessed extra display. In this situation, by applying an isolated CHAMELEON DISPLAY you will have a duplication of the panel Fascia. Everything displayed in the connected panel is then copied to the CHAMELEON DISPLAY. Every key press action is assumed as if the input was actually occurring on the connected panel. For connection diagrams and project commissioning, please refer to the Chameleon Network manual as well as the manual of the Communication Interface being used.

This solution is ideally for stand-alone panels. It is only possible to have one display connected per Chameleon connection available on panel. On networked systems, where the panel chameleon connections are most needed, it is recommended the use of CHAMELEON MINI REP system repeaters.

Compatible with GEKKO, OCTO+ and NODE+ range of panels.

NODE

Addressable

The NODE allows expansion of the JUNO NET system in groups of 1 to 4 loops.

It can be supplied as a standalone unit or in an enclosed cabinet, which contains a 2,3 A PSU/ Charger unit and space for standby rechargeable batteries. One RS422/RS485, Fibre Optic or TCP/IP interface is required per cabinet to enable networking with the rest of the system.

Each NODE mainboard controls up to four Analogue Addressable Detection Loops via its own independent processor. In the event of communication failure with the main control unit, the NODE is capable of operating independently, detecting Fire/Fault events and activating connected sounders and internal relays.

JUNIOR MINI REP

Addressable

The JUNIOR MINI-REP will provide remote control, system status display and monitoring functions for any of GFE’s Analogue Addressable Fire Detection Panels.

All Fire, Fault, Test and Disabled conditions are displayed. User is able to control all functions at access Level’s 1, 2 (authorized user level) and 3 (installer/ programming level). It’s reduced dimensions make it ideal for installation in reception areas or security booths.

A maximum of 4 JUNIOR MINI-REP panels can be connected to a single Addressable Panel if powered directly from the Control Panel’s Auxiliary Supply Output.

It includes as standard an RS485 interface. This unit is also compatible with all of GFE’s standard data loop interfaces allowing the JUNIOR MINI-REP panel to be interfaced to both JUNIOR and JUNO NET addressable panels.

CHAMELEON NETWORK

Addressable

All Chameleon Network Panels should be tailored to the building/site requirements. The complete system should be designed to meet all applicable regulations. The installation must then be performed in accordance with the system design.

The manual not only clarifies the components and connections during installation, but will also assist in commissioning and maintenance.

JUNIOR V4

Addressable

JUNIOR V4 is a single loop Analogue addressable control panel which can be expanded to 2 loops. It provides a cost effective solution for small to medium sized installations. The JUNIOR V4 can support up to 125 addressable devices on each loop which are compatible with major analogue addressable communications protocols.

Using Global Fire’s advanced communications mechanism, up to 32 individually addressed Loop sounders can be connected to each of the JUNIOR V4 detection Loops. The JUNIOR V4 also supports Shadow and Auxiliary Sounder/ Beacons together with GFE’s new VULCAN 2 addressable Sounder-Beacon-Isolator along with all other GFE Interface devices.

The panel is equipped with a backlit LCD display of 4 rows each with 40 characters to give clear textual indications of Fire/ Fault occurrences to the end user. There are also 16 Zone Fire LED indicators.

JUNO NET

JUNO NET is a powerful Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm Control System with networking capabilities that facilitate the configuration of complex Wide Area Fire Detection Systems.

Modular construction and distributed intelligence allow systems of up to 96 Loops to be constructed. With a high level of built-in redundancy and emergency back-up features, the JUNO NET is fully equipped to control the most complex installations.

Using its wide array of interfacing capabilities the JUNO NET is ideally placed to provide an efficient and effective solution to the logistics of protecting large institutions, Universities, Airports, industrial complexes etc. which may have many individual Fire Alarm systems but require central reporting and control can easily be accommodated by the advanced capabilities of the JUNO NET.

GEKKO

The GEKKO Fire Alarm Control Panel is the successor of the enormously popular GFE JUNIOR panel.

The GEKKO can have from 1 to 4 addressable loops. It is housed in a functional ABS plastic enclosure, with only two screws used to close and secure the lid.
The new graphic backlit LCD display can accommodate any type of custom characters or graphic symbols, allowing multi-language support, as well as pictorial and customisable elements.

JUNIOR REP

Compliant with EN54-2. Display and Control Functions are replicated and shown in the same manner as on any of GFE’s Intelligent Addressable Fire Detection Panel. Access to Levels 2 and 3 is via the same code as programmed or the associated panel.
This unit uses the same plastic enclosure as the JUNIOR V4 panel and is available in 2 colours: white and red. It includes as standard an RS485 interface. This unit is also compatible with all of GFE’s standard data loop interfaces allowing the JUNIOR REP panel to be interfaced to both JUNIOR and JUNO NET addressable panels using RS485, Fibre Optic or TCP/IP.

JUNO NET REP

The Juno Net Repeater Panel, J-NET-EN54-REP, fully replicates the control panel information and control facilities allowing multiple operating points within the system. The J-NET-EN54-REP communicates with the Master Control Panel via an RS422/RS485, Fibre Optic or TCP/IP network. Sub-Panels can be integrated into the repeater panel to allow the connection of up to 3 additional detection loops, per sub-panel, to the system.
J-NET-EN54-REP is ideal for multiple building complexes where display and control of the system is required in various locations. Depending on control panel loading, power for the J-NET-EN54-REP can be supplied from the control panel’s auxiliary power output, an external 24 Volt power supply or an optional complete built-in 24 V, 2,4 A or 5 A power supply unit. If a sub-panel is installed in the repeater housing, then a 5 A power supply unit is required.
